Team USA ATVMX Set to Defend Title at Quadcross of European Nations

Team USA ATVMX riders will once again contend in Quadcross of European Nations competition with their focus on defending the title the team clinched last year. The U.S. team will be pursuing its fifth championship, after capturing the title in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022.

The 2023 competition is slated for October 7-8 in Cingoli, Italy. The race attracts competitors from 20 nations and more than 6,000 in-person spectators. The Bartolomeo Tittoni track, where the event will be held this year, was the first international facility that Team USA ATVMX competed at, earning gold in 2017. Inaugural team members included Joel Hetrick, Chad Wienen and Thomas Brown. The 2023 team is set to be announced at a later date.

Mark Baldwin of Baldwin Motorsports will serve as the team manager for the fifth time.

“We are looking forward to going back to where it all started for the team,” said Team Manager Mark Baldwin. “The circuit of Cingoli is hard-packed with many elevation changes, which suits all of the athletes’ skill sets that are being considered for the Team USA roster this year. If all goes according to plan, that fifth gold medal will be brought home to American soil in honor of all the fans and supporters of the team.”

Also supporting the team throughout competition is Crew Chief Jody Bateman of JB Racing and 88 Live to Ride. The team will race three 25-minute motos, with the best five scores combined for an overall finish position.

“Being named crew chief last year was an honor,” said Crew Chief Jody Bateman. “It’s definitely a team effort to coordinate competing overseas. The team has great supporters that make it possible. I am looking forward to taking on the crew chief role once again.”

Fundraising will be held throughout the season for the team’s efforts. Beginning this weekend, Team USA ATVMX apparel will be available for purchase at the Baldwin Motorsports rig during the ATV Motocross National Championship event at Sunset Ridge MX.

Sponsorship opportunities to support the team are available. Sponsors will be featured on the team’s hospitality tent, on the team’s social media and mentioned in future press releases.
